- Made his first aluminum arrow shafts in 1939, and pioneered their use throughout the sport in the 1940's and beyond. One of his first sets of aluminum arrows was used by Larry Hughes to win the 1941 NAA National Championships.
- Developed the first drawbench used for arrow tubing, incorporated special thermal and work-hardening processes, 1946
- Introduced his XX75 higher-strength alloy arrow, 1958
- Introduced his X7 super high-strength shaft, 1966
- Recipient, National Archery Association's Thompson Medal of Honor, 1972
- Father of James L. Easton, Archery Hall of Fame inductee, 1997
